Pallarès - A history of tradition

Since the sixteenth century, knife making in Solsona, northern Spain, has been a tradition. The company Pallarès, founded in 1917, is today the last remaining legacy of the famous knife makers in Solsona.

In 1917, the brothers Lluís and Carles Pallarès Canal founded the company Pallarès. The brothers soon became known for their cheerful mood and sharp knives.

From the 1960s, the company is run by Jesús and Juli Pallarès Moncunill, Lluí's children, and with this, the company's modernization begins.

At the beginning of this century, the third generation took over, cousins David and Lluís Pallarès. Modernization and adaptation to new technology continues and the market is expanding to France, Switzerland, Germany and the rest of the world.

Throughout its history, Cuchillería Pallarès has always strived for the highest quality in material selection in order to get the best quality on the cutting edge, which is why all knives are ground by hand. An art that has been inherited for generations.
